Photo Guide: Which Pictures to Take

To help us identify the correct parts for your vehicle please take the following pictures:

  • 1. VIN Plate Location: Take a clear photo of the VIN plate usually on driver side door jamb or dashboard near windshield
  • 2. Engine Bay: Open the hood and take a clear photo of the entire engine compartment
  • 3. Damaged or Required Part: Take multiple close-up photos of the specific part you need from different angles
  • 4. Part Number Label: If the part has any labels stickers or numbers on it take a clear close-up photo
  • 5. Overall Vehicle: Take a photo of the front side and rear of your vehicle
  • 6. Part Location: Take a photo showing where the part is located in the vehicle

Tips for good photos:

  • Use good lighting - natural daylight is best
  • Keep the camera steady
  • Make sure text and numbers are in focus and readable
  • Take photos from multiple angles
